ROOSA VALKOLA

I'm Roosa Valkola, a 25-year-old powerlifter and bench-presser from Oulu, Finland. I got into the sport a bit by accident after I started going to the gym. I wanted to develop my strength and found out that it's quite fun and I'm surprisingly good at it. After two and a half years of training, I won my first Finnish championship in 2022 and my second championship came this year.

Currently my best bench result is 100kg and I'm competing in the open class in the under 63kg weight category. My goal is to win a European or World Championship medal one day. I don't know the colour yet. The second European Championships of my life are calling me in 4 months time, if there is something to take home from there. The Finnish record for bench press in my weight class is 110kg, I would also like to try to break it one day, but time will tell what I can afford.
