Pihla Kaivo-oja has become known in the Finnish boxing world as a determined and skilled athlete. She has demonstrated exceptional potential and quickly risen to the top of international boxing. Kaivo-oja competes in the 51 kg weight class, with her sights set on the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Everything she does is aimed at winning gold in LA.
During the summer of 2025, Kaivo-oja has demonstrated excellent form by winning international tournaments. In May, Pihla celebrated her championship victory at the Felix Stamm tournament in Poland, followed immediately by another victory in June in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic. She continued her winning streak by also winning the World Boxing Cup competition in Astana, Kazakhstan, in July.
One of Kaivo-oja's most notable achievements is her 5th place finish at the Paris Olympics in the spring of 2024. This performance demonstrated his ability to challenge the world's best boxers. Kaivo-oja is known for his tenacity and ability to adapt to his opponent's style. He is also technically very skilled and delivers sharp counterpunches.
